Although recognized as a Catholic School of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, Kolbe-Trinity School is not a parochial school, so students do not receive their First Holy Communion or their Confirmation at our school. However, our religion classes do include Sacramental preparation that meet diocesan requirements, thus our students are able to receive these Sacraments at their home parishes. Additionally, our students attend Mass twice a week in our Chapel of the Immaculata and have frequent, nearly daily opportunities to go to Confession.
First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion Prep
In second grade, our students prepare to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Guided by our diocesan-trained catechist-teachers, our students see how the present is linked to the past and how the covenants of the Old Testament are fulfilled in the New Covenant. Understanding the Sacraments as part of the story of God’s love for humankind, students learn that the Sacraments are not mere rituals but the means of becoming intimately united with God and receiving his redeeming grace and mercy.
