Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels

From the Headmaster, John Bertolini

I am happy to announce another donation challenge from Mr. Steven Silvagni towards our campaign to raise $75,000 by the end of October. From today until Oct. 31st, any money donated by a parent/family of the school will be matched up to $3,000! Let’s make it happen!

Our first exposition, adoration, and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament took place last Wednesday. Thank you to our chaplain, Fr. Gary Sumpter, for all of his work to make it happen. Thank you also to Ernesto and Xochitl Martinez of Market Restaurant for their delicious sliders, mac n’ cheese, and fruit salad for hot lunch.

We had a small but highly energetic turnout for our workday last Saturday. I’m pleased to report that Francisco Reyes, Ana Montiel, William Flores, and Cristina Uribe all spend multiple hours making important necessary improvements to the facilities with assistance and direction from maintenance supervisor Sean Warner. Highlights included, but were not limited to, mounting a true crucifix in Trinity Hall, replacing the weather-stripping on the door leading from the TK yard to the 7-12 bathrooms, removal of the rest of the yardwaste debris in the gravel lot, and weeding the playground area.   It’s great to see a whole new group of parents stepping up to assist, but we still need help from the veteran families!
