From the Headmaster, John Bertolini

Happy feast day of our patron, St. Maximilian Kolbe! We’ve had a very busy last week that extended all the way through the weekend.

This past Friday evening, August 10thwe had a very well-attended new parent/family orientation. More than half of our 22 new families were in attendance as Mr. Duncan and myself gave a short orientation (with Mrs. Cuevas’ assistance) to the new families and parents. Thank you to all of the new families/parents who attended.

The next day, Saturday August 11thwe had our annual Back-to-School Picnic which was also very well-attended. Thank you to Maria Cuevas, all of the faculty membersRicardo and Emma CuevasGianna and Dominic Bertolini, board members, led by Tom Huss, for their assistance and to the parents for bringing side-dishes and desserts. A good time was had by all!

Congratulations to Trinity Prep alumna, Monica Mudge, who was united in holy matrimony the same day. In attendance (among others) was Trinity Prep alumnus Michael Brumley.

On Sunday, August 12th and Monday, August 13th, the faculty and staff attended an overnight retreat at the Sweetwater Retreat House outside Guerneville. We were led by Fr. Moses Brown, chaplain at Cardinal Newman High School in Santa Rosa and associate pastor at St. Rose, also in Santa Rosa. A big thank you toour longtime benefactors and collaborators, Ignatius Press, for generously allowing us to use their beautiful retreat house.
