The International Food Festival fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 15th, from 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M is a fundraiser that is fun, easy, and everybody can take part in supporting. What is the International Food Festival and how can you help?
The International Food Festival began four years ago not only to raise much-needed funds for the school, but also to build community and showcase the cultural heritage and cuisine of our families.
The most important and impactful way you can participate is by signing up to handle a booth, cooking and selling food from a particular country. There is a limit of 15 tables that can be set up so please sign up in the office with Maria as soon as possible. So that we can solicit donations of food and wine, we would like to have this finalized by next Friday, Sep. 30th. You are responsible for providing your own tables, signs, and pricing the food. When pricing your food, please remember that there will be no reimbursements provided and that this is a fundraiser, not a bargain food court. Additionally, please also bear in mind that many of our families cannot afford full tuition at our school and have larger families. There is a limited source of electrical power that can be accessed via extension cords from both the main building and the modular classrooms.
We also need assistance with setup, bartending (beer, wine, water, and sodas will be sold – no hard liquor is permitted), parking, the bouncy house for children, staffing the check-in table, security, and cleanup. Donations of food, water, wine, and sodas are also welcome and appreciated. Forms are available in the office for any of these ways in which you can assist at the fundraiser.
Please come to the office today to sign up to help!
