Regular Office Hours All Summer – 7:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Aug 19 – First Day of School
July 27, 2020
Monday of the 17th Week in Ordinary Time
St. Pantaleon, Martyr (Traditional Calendar)
So far, despite the very difficult economic times, we have received a very positive response to our summer fundraising letter. We have raised almost $20,000 and are hoping to continue to expand on that total by the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Friday, July 31st. Thank you to all of you who have supported us financially and with your prayers.
Like many private Catholic schools around the country, we are facing a very difficult situation due to the current economic crisis and our inability to open our school for in-person classes for the vast majority of our students. Please pray that our Blessed Mother may continue to intercede for Kolbe-Trinity and that she, the Seat of Wisdom, will grant us the knowledge and wisdom to make prudent decisions.
Agape Program Update!
Agape will be handing out groceries Wednesday, the 29th, from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M.
Agape and your neighbors need your help more than ever. As our community continues to navigate the difficult days, we must continue to look for one another.
At our last food exchange on July 15th, we provided help for 180+ families (over 1,000 of our neighbors). We also continue to feed families sick with COVID-19. As the numbers increase in Napa, the call for help from Napa County Health and Human Services also correspondingly increases. How can you help?
1) Donate Money! Send a check to the school with “Agape” on the memo line, or donate online @ kolbetrinity.org
2) Donate Groceries/Supplies! The most needed items are soap, shampoo, dish soap, diapers, feminine hygiene, and other basic hygiene products.
3) Solicit Donations!
4) Adopt a Family!
If you need help, please don’t hesitate to contact Eric Muth, Anna Hickey, or Mary Quinn.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Beatrice Smalley, a long-time supporter of Kolbe-Trinity who died on Saturday, July 25th, for Margaret Crotty who died last week and for Joy Gittings who also passed away recently.
Thank you for your prayers for my mother-in-law, Mary Bedrosian and my father-in-law, Peter Bedrosian who are both battling COVID-19. They are both on the mend.
Please continue to pray for one of our former teachers, Mr. Matt Badley, as the school where he was teaching in Virginia has announced its closure. Please keep him and his large family in your prayers. Please continue to keep Jay Hipolito’s grandfather, Henry Ramirez, in your prayers.
Thank you for your continued prayers for former Kolbe Academy student (and my classmate) Michael Arribage who is currently battling stage-4 kidney cancer. His treatment is moving in a very positive direction and for Bethany Pham, an 8-year girl battling cancer who is a student at St. Apollinaris Catholic School. Please continue to make time every day to pray the Rosary for Our Lady’s intercession against the COVID-19 pandemic, and for John Carr who is attempting a full recovery from cancer.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,
