Monday in Holy Week

Happy Holy Week! We have all gone through what is, I’m sure, one of the most penitential Lents in our lifetimes, but in the midst of the suffering that we are all undergoing in some degree or another, I have witnessed incredible graces to our community during this unprecedented crisis. In these difficult times, when we have been deprived even of the graces of Sunday Mass, the Eucharist, and Confession, God is calling us all to embrace our crosses and lean on each other for support, prayers, forgiveness, and mutual understanding.

I become aware last week that the transition to distance learning, although smoother than I anticipated, has been a challenge for students, teachers, but particularly for parents who are both still working full-time or even working more hours than before this crisis began. Please know that we are continually evaluating and re-evaluating our distance learning model in the hopes of continuing to provide all students with the best education possible given the circumstances. In order that we can better serve our students and help our parents, we would like you all to please take some time to fill out the survey that you received to your e-mail this morning. Each family received one survey in one e-mail address. Please fill out and submit electronically before midnight on Holy Thursday, April 9th.

Please remember that your teachers, the staff, and the administration of KT are here to help you as best we can. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for assistance with any educational needs.

I would like to repeat a passionate appeal I made last week to those of you who have not been as directly or strongly affected by the current and sudden economic downturn to consider making a donation to Kolbe-Trinity and have it earmarked for family food, rent-mortgage relief and/or tuition assistance for those families how may be struggling to pay their final tuition bill due in April. Please either donate online through our website or simply mail a check to our address at 2055 Redwood Rd. Napa, CA 94558. A big thank you to former principal Brian Muth and the Carr family for your generous donations last week!

Please also consider using your upcoming stimulus checks to pay your registration for the 2020-2021 year early and receive a $50 discount. Early registration has now been extended to Friday, April 24th.

Finally, if you want to order up some good wine for Easter (and Easter Week!), please consider ordering directly from the following wineries whose families are involved at Kolbe-Trinity - Roche Family - Montes/Castaneda Families – Amador Family - Herrera Family

Yearbooks Available to Order!

The yearbook staff is still working on your yearbook!  Please remember to send in your order forms to the office.  Parents with Seniors and 8th graders, we are still doing congratulations pages.  Please send your text and photos to and payment to the office. General order forms and congratulations pages are attached.

The staff is also planning a “distance learning” section for this unprecedented time we are having.  Please send photos of your children learning from home for this section to Sophia as well.

Thank you in advance; prayers for health and safety for all!

Upcoming School Event

April 7 – Bishop Vasa Mass for Catholic School Parents/Students @ 10:00 A.M.

Please go to St. Eugene’s Youtube Live Page

at 10:00 A.M. tomorrow morning for a special Mass offered by Bishop Vasa for parents and students of Catholic schools. 5-12 online classes will dismiss at 9:55. 7-12 classes will resume at 11:15 and 5-6 classes will resume at 12:00 P.M.

Prayer Requests

Please pray for Joy Gittings, grandmother of Kara Gittings, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. I would like to also ask your prayers for Bethany Pham, an 8-year girl battling cancer who is a student at St. Apollinaris Catholic School. Please continue to make time every day @ 1:00 P.M. PDT to pray the Rosary for Our Lady’s intercession against the COVID-19 pandemic, also remembering former Kolbe Academy student (and my classmate) Michael Arribage who is currently battling stage-4 kidney cancer and John Carr who is attempting a full recovery from cancer.
