The Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order

I am happy to announce a new member of our faculty: Mr. Kevin Belton, who will be teaching Spanish to our 11-12 class. Mr. Belton has taught high school Spanish for over thirty years at both public and private high schools in Indiana and Napa.  After retiring from a full-time teaching position at Justin-Siena, and has continued to teach part-time at Vintage High School and St. Helena High School. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Belton to our community.

Congratulations to our high school boys and girls basketball teams who never stopped fighting to win games despite playing schools over 10 tens the size of ours. They finished the season on senior night with a great turnout and a ceremony to honor graduating seniors Sophia Haeuser, Dan Arend, and Sean Ford. Thank you again to Coach Ken Franklin, his assistants (and alumni) Sean Quinn and Curtis Friedlander, and to AD Kara Gittings.

Parents Guild President Colleen Roche was delighted to be joined by Katie Duncan, Mary Quinn, and Maria Cuevas at the monthly parents guild meeting this past Wednesday! Mark your calendar for Wednesday, March 11th @ 3:00 P.M. for our next meeting.

Upcoming School Events

February 22 (SA) - Workday – 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.

                             Development Dinner – 5:30 P.M.

                                Cleanup/Breakdown – 9:30 – 11:30 P.M.

One of our most profitable fundraisers in recent years has been our annual development dinner. This coming Saturday, Feb 22nd, we are delighted to have as our speaker Dr. Arthur M. Hippler. Dr. Hippler is the chair of the theology department at Providence Academy in Minnesota, member of the Board of Directors for the Institute for Catholic Education, previously headed the Office of Peace and Justice in the Diocese of La Crosse, WI under Bishop Raymond Burke and is the author of Citizens of the Heavenly City: A Catechism of Catholic Social Teaching.

So that our campus looks its best for the dinner, we will be having our monthly workday that morning from 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. We would be grateful if you would make time to attend and assist us. Coffee and donuts will be waiting for you!

We had great success and turnout for cleanup and breakdown after last year’s development dinner which saved everybody from having to come back on Sunday so that they could take a well-deserved day off to rest. We are hoping for a similar and even better turnout this year so that we can once again give our hard-working school community a day of rest. If you weren’t able to help in the morning at the work day, please make time to attend and assist us from 9:30 P.M. – 11:30 P.M.

Thank you!

Connolly Ranch Easter Break Camp: April 13-17

This Spring, our discovery - based curriculum will focus on new beginnings. Together we will tune into the ever changing environment, begin planting seeds in our edible garden, care for our new baby animals and meander the trails of Westwood Hills. Campers will also engage in projects and activities centered around eco -art, farm-to-table cooking, music and movement.

Our unique environment and all its loose parts provides spontaneous opportunities to learn from what “just happened”; allowing children to become dynamic learners, divergent thinkers and mindful leaders.

Easter Break Camp is open to children Kindergarten through 5th grade and runs from 8:30 - 3:00 pm with the option to register for aftercare until 5:00 pm.
