Things are up, running, and humming @ Kolbe-Trinity with our upcoming Crab Feed this Saturday, Jan. 25th! So far we have sold over 100 tickets and we are hoping to sell out this event. If you haven’t purchased tickets, buy them today at www.kolbetrinity.org or purchase them from office. Next week will be jam-packed with special activities at the school to celebrate Catholic Schools Week/School Choice Week culminating in our annual open-house on Saturday, Feb. 1st @ 10:00 A.M. Please see the attached flyer for a full schedule.
By the middle of the week, you should have received progress reports in the mail. A reminder that progress reports only reflect the grade as it currently stands and that there are still six more weeks until the end of the second trimester, culminating in final exams. This is particularly important to remember for parents of students in 7-12 grade who still have essays, midterms, and final exams to factor into their final grades. Students with concerning progress reports have plenty of time to turn things around and students with good progress reports should keep their focus so as not to fall off track.
A big thank you to all of the parents who made time to show up to our final planning meeting for the Crab Feed. It was great to see Maria Angulo, Francisco & Leticia Reyes, Adolfo and Liceth Mendoza, Natividad Zetina, Ana Montiel, Colleen Roche, and Bob and Mary Quinn.
Please join me in thanking Jorge and Isabel Ayala who have spent the last two Saturday mornings pouring additional gravel into the front driveway. A shout out to all of the parents who showed up at our monthly workday headed by Jay Hipolito: Danny and Angelica Rowles, Maria Romo & family, Dennis Healey, and Allison Bertolini. Your help is crucial to keeping up the appearance and maintaining the safety of our campus. Mark your calendars now for our next Saturday workday which will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22nd @ 9:00 A.M.
A very important announcement for all families currently receiving financial aid – there are less than two months to apply for financial aid with BASIC fund (now accepting applications online @ https://www.basicfund.org/ )and the Diocese of Santa Rosa Aquinas Scholarship (available by applying through FACTS online). Families who are seeking financial assistance from the school MUST apply through FACTS and (if they meet the qualifications) through BASIC no later than Sunday, March 15th to be considered. This means that you will need to get your tax returns completed early.
All families at the school can receive a $100 discount on their registration for next school year by enrolling by Friday, March 13th.

Jan. 23 – Mark Brumley Series on Benedict XVI’s The Spirit of the Liturgy –
Session 2 @ 7PM
What does it mean to worship God? How ought we to understand the Liturgy? If Jesus came to bring “worship in Spirit and truth”, why do so many Christians worship in a particular place (church), at a particular time (Sundays), following a particular pattern of worship (liturgy and ritual)? Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI answers these and other important questions in his classic work, The Spirit of the Liturgy. Explore his answers as Mark Brumley leads a nine-session course based on The Spirit of the Liturgy. Classes begin Thursday, January 16, and continue January 23 and 30; February 6, 13, 27; March 5, 12, and 19.
Sessions will begin @ 7:00 P.M. and will take place at the school. No charge. Donations gratefully accepted.
