Monday after Epiphany/St. Andre Bessette
Feast of the Epiphany (Traditional Calendar)
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a Blessed Epiphanytide! Tomorrow we will invoke the intercession of the three kings by marking the side-entrance door with blessed chalk and asking for God’s continued protection over our school. As we approach the half-way point of the year, please continue to keep all of the students, parents, staff, and board members of the school in your prayers.
Thank you to all of the people who helped out with the Christmas program on Dec. 19th with buying, serving, and cleaning up from the refreshments. A special shout-out in particular to Paul Woodward and Nate Wentzel who helped with transporting the risers back and forth from St. Joan of Arc Hall. And thank you, of course, to the participating students, their teachers, and their parents!
$100 Family Challenge -Final Update!
We did it! Thanks to the generosity of more families who stepped up to meet our $100 challenge, we raised over $5,000 from our families! Thank you again for your generous support. In other great news, we also had 100 percent participation from our nine board members who all contributed to raise over $2,250! Although we did not reach our Christmas appeal goal of $50,000, we did raise almost $43,000!

Thank you for your prayers for Steven Silvagni’s mother-in-law, Angela Cabacungan, who was believed to be nearing death due to kidney failure. She has made a miraculous recovery which her doctor attributes to prayer! Thank you also for your prayers for the health of Bill Jenuwine, father of Fr. David Jenuwine, who has recovered from a stroke.
Please remember to pray for former Kolbe Academy student (and my classmate) Michael Arribage who is currently battling stage-4 kidney cancer and also for John Carr who continues to be treated for cancer. Thank you for your prayers!
