Dedication of the Basilicas of Sts. Peter and Paul, Apostles

St. Rose Philippine Duchesne

The early returns on our Christmas wreath fundraiser look very promising. We are hoping to exceed last year’s goal of $5,000 and raise $7,000. Don’t forget that order forms and money are due no later than today @ 3:30!

Our second, longest, and most distracting trimester started today. With the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, it can be very difficult for all of us to remained attentive to school matters. Please help us to keep your children focused on their academics so that they can more fully enjoy their Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks.

Last week’s short week was busy, as usual. We had a wonderful turnout for Fr. Daniel Roa’s spiritual talk given in Spanish last Friday and we hope to schedule another talk in Spanish for January. Also, a big thank you to the Healey, Gonzales-Romo, Muth, and Rono families for turning out to help at our Saturday workday. Your help was greatly appreciated. And most of all, thank you to all of the students and parents who assisted with the last push for Christmas wreath sales!

Upcoming Community Event

Nov. 30 (SA) – 7:00 P.M. – Advent Carols & Lessons Service @ St. Apollinaris

The Men’s Scola of Holy Family Mission in Rutherford is proud to present a festival of Advent Carols & Lessons on Saturday, Nov. 30th @ 7:00 P.M. @ St. Apollinaris Church in Napa. The service will feature hymns for the congregation to sign along with, some Gregorian chants sung by the scola alone, interspersed with readings from both the Old and New Testaments. Prayer Requests

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Dr. John Dumars, father of 7-8 history teacher Ken Dumars, who died last Friday.

Please continue to pray for former Kolbe Academy student (and my classmate) Michael Arribage who is currently battling stage-4 kidney cancer and also for John Carr who was recently diagnosed with cancer and has begun treatment. Michael recently underwent successful surgery and is beginning immunotherapy and John’s prognosis looks good. Thank you for your prayers!
