Feast of Sts. Simon & Jude, Apostles

NB: As it currently sits, we are scheduled to be open tomorrow for school since we now have power. However, air quality is now worsening so please do check your e-mail this evening between 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. for an update. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

As many of you may have already heard, board member John Kelly and myself returned from Pennsylvania with a donation from one of our most generous donors, Terrence and Anna Darby.  Terry and Anna have been consistent and important donors to our school since 2008, sponsoring our students to attend World Youth Day in Sydney, Australia with Pope Benedict XVI, assisting us to purchase the property we now own free and clear, and giving reliably every year to help us with operational expenses. They are very dedicated to the mission of our school and I would like to ask each and every one of you to remember them in your daily prayers.

Congratulations to our high school girls volleyball team who finished the season with a loss at home to Leroy Greene Academy, but finished the season with a winning record. A special debt of gratitude to Trinity Prep senior Sophia Haeuser and Kolbe Homeschool senior Ana Rowles who played in their final volleyball game. We’ll miss you both! And of course, thank you to all of the high school volleyball players, their families, Coach Gittings, Everett Buyarski, Dan Arend, and all other people who assisted with keeping score, serving as line judges, operating the scoreboard, etc. And, of course, thank you to all you fans who showed up throughout the season!

A big thank you to former board president Walt Birdsall for providing us with the opportunity to sponsor him in his NovaThon walk-a-thon which raised over $3,000 for Kolbe-Trinity from both individual donors whose contributions up to $1,500 were matched by Nova Group. Thank you to the Birdsall, Arend, Tony Ryan, Wentzel, Madigan-Heun, Roche, Hickey, Andrego , Carr, Mudge, Mendoza-Pineda, Reyes-Mendoza, Luptia Cuevas, Eric Muth, Hill, Rono, Andrego, Buyarksi, Ferrigan, Huss, Quinn, and Bakh families for their pledges and donations.
