Our Lady of the Rosary

Normally these sorts of announcements are made in May or June, but Oct. 15th will be Jennifer Warner’s last day in the classroom as a kindergarten teacher. Jennifer’s many years in the classroom in the kindergarten have provided a rock-solid formation for many of our students and her passionate dedication to her students and her job will be difficult to replace.  As many of you have probably already heard, the Warners are in the process of moving to Idaho and could be moving as soon as December. Fortunately, we have a qualified teacher on staff, Allison Bertolini, who will step into this role beginning on Oct. 16th. Beginning today and continuing through Oct. 15th, Allison will be assisting Jennifer in the classroom full-time to provide as smooth of a transition as possible. Please join me in showing your appreciation for Jennifer and all her years of service to the Kolbe-Trinity community. She and her family will be sorely missed.

A big thank you to Abigail Arnason for stepping in to assist with hot lunch this Wednesday. Her help was very much needed and appreciate. Thanks, Abigail!

Upcoming Community Events

Oct. 12 (SA)

-Women’s Exchange: “Your Child’s Relationship with God” -10:00 A.M. in St. Helena (See Flyer for Details)

-Date Night @ St. A’s.  – 5:30 P.M.

The focus of Date Night for the next 6 months is, "United in Love, United in Christ". The program explores God’s awesome plan and promise for spouses. It provides practical steps in building on what St. John Paul II taught to be the “infallible” and “indispensable” way to a truly united and faithful love.

The first session is on October 12th.  We will start at 5:30 in the parish hall with a family potluck dinner, then the children will go off to play while the adults remain for the program.  The format is similar to our other Date Nights, prayer, watch a powerful DVD presentation, some group discussion and then quality time with your spouse to discuss the topic for the evening.  Child care is provided.  There is a $10 cost to purchase the "Couples Guide" that is needed for the 6 sessions.  Order it on line at faithandmarriage.org or contact us.  Please RSVP via email waltandpambirdsall@sbcglobal.net  or call/text (707) 738-4535.  Potluck assignments will be made at the time of your RSVP.
