Memorial of Pope St. Pius V

St. Catherine of Siena (Traditional Calendar)

From the Headmaster, John Bertolini

Alleluia! Happy Easter to you all. I hope you had a holy and restful Triduum and Easter Week in which you were able to enter more deeply into the mysteries of Christ’s Last Supper, Passion, Death, and Resurrection, along with having some time to decompress before we begin the aptly-named “90 Days of May” tomorrow. Due to the flurry of activity in May, I decided to post all the upcoming events for the entire month of May above. Please note the activities and write them on your calendar ASAP.

Congratulations to Sue Arend for winning the Easter Raffle – a foosball table!

Upcoming School Events & Reminders

May 3 – Jog-a-Thon! Final Raffle! -12:15 Dismissal – Yearbook Ads and Orders Due!

We are on pace to having the most financially successful Jog-a-Thon ever IF we can finish strong this week. There are only 3 days left and we are now less than $23,000 away from hitting our ambitious goal of $35,000 so this week is the time to collect individual sponsorship donations from your family and friends. This can be done by connecting with relatives through e-mail and social media or just a simple phone call. Going door-to-door in your neighborhood on weeknights to catch neighbors is the best way to raise money from outside our immediate community. It is VERY easy to raise over $210 using any of the aforementioned suggestions, but we all need to set aside time to do so.  You will qualify for a raffle ticket for every $100 raised! Be sure to remember to bring your envelope in to have Mrs. Cuevas verify that you qualify for one or more raffle tickets for our daily raffle drawings all week. We have lots of great prizes from pizza dinners, movie tickets, ice skating passes etc.....so let’s get out there and do our important part to help our school!

Important School Announcements!

Items Needed for TK Atrium

Our list is getting shorter, but we are still in need of the following (less expensive) items and need assistance to prepare our new atrium in the cry room behind the chapel so that we can provide the best possible environment for our TK students to enrich their new experience with theCatechesis of the Good Shepherd.

Cocciona paste.  (Thank you, Maureen Rowles!)

Someone to make and install a narrow window sill.

Someone to sand/prime and paint cabinet doors.
