Tuesday of the Fifth Week of Lent

Tuesday of the First Week in Passiontide (Traditional Calendar)

From the Headmaster, John Bertolini

Since we are roughly half-way through the third (and final!) trimester of the school year, it’s a good time to take stock of your student(s)’ academic progress. We will be mailing home progress reports this Friday, April 12th and I encourage you to take a look at it as soon as possible. As we approach the very busy and distracting month of May with better weather in the air and summer on the horizon, it can be very difficult to be focused on schoolwork. Please help us to keep your child(ren) on track so that they can finish the third trimester strongly and enjoy their summer break with little to no regrets.

Thank you to Katie Ferigan, Andrea Garcia, Ana Montiel, and Cristina Uribe for assisting Mrs. Fidler and the 5/6 class by making some amazingly delicious vegetarian soup for a small fundraiser last Friday. Thank you also to all the customers who purchased the soup. The 5/6 class raised over $500 for use on future field trips, projects, etc……

Jog-a-Thon-Update!

It’s now less than one month to go until the Jog-a-Thon! Since we make most of our money from business sponsorships, now is the time that we need to most assistance with soliciting these sponsorships. This is the last week to solicit business sponsorships as all of them MUST be submitted by Friday, April 12th so that we can have enough time to include their names on our Jog-a-Thon t-shirts. Given our blockbuster success last year of $25,000, I have set an ambitious goal of $35,000 which I believe we can not only meet, but even exceed! Given our higher enrollment this year, coming primarily from St. Helena and Calistoga, there is a tremendous potential to attract business and individual sponsorships in a whole new market. In order to encourage students to solicit business sponsorships, we have been holding raffles on Mondays and Fridays Our last raffle is this Friday, April 12th. The more sponsors you bring in, the more possibility for success in the raffle!  As of now we have brought in almost $6,000 in business sponsorships! Way to go! Let’s keep it up!!

Date Night this Friday @ St. A’s

Please join us this Friday night April 12th for Date Night.  We will be viewing the 4th episode of Dr. Edward Sri's series "Men, Women & The Mystery of Love".  Similar to last month we will delay the start until after Stations of the Cross, around 7:30, and as usual we will be in the Youth Room at St. A's.  Child care is available, but please RSVP to let us know how many by replying to this email or texting/calling 738-4535.

Even if you have not attended any or some of the previous episodes, you can still get a lot out of the presentations and discussion, so don't let that prevent you from coming and invite your friends.  We look forward to seeing you all this Friday!

On behalf of the Date Night team, have a Blessed week!
