Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Lent
St. Francis of Paola, Hermit
From the Headmaster, John Bertolini
As you can tell from the rose-colored vestments this past Sunday, we are now more than halfway through the season of Lent and getting closer to the holiest time of the year with Holy Week and the Easter Triduum. I encouraged the children to not let up on their Lenten resolutions and to pick up speed as we enter the final stretch. Speaking of the halfway mark, we are almost halfway through the third trimester. Progress reports will be send home next Friday, April 12th.
Thank you to Joan Andrego, Cindy Mudge, and Leslie Degrange for stepping up to cover adoration of the Blessed Sacrament last Wednesday, and thank you to Laura Lepe-Garcia for helping out with hot lunch service.
Congratulations to Tupperware raffle winner Sara Montes and to Jog-a-Thon business sponsor raffle winners Dan Arend and Ashley Angulo!
If you have not yet seen the movie Unplanned, it will be playing at the Cinemark theatre in Napa through Thursday, April 4th only. Show times are at 10:55, 1:40 P.M., 4:25 P.M., 7:15 P.M., and 10:05 P.M.
Parents are strongly cautioned when bringing their children 12 and up that there are very disturbing images including simulations of abortions, simulated small baby body parts, etc. as the film is meant to disturb you and promote you to action. In my opinion, the film is too graphic for children 12 and below and for children 12-18, you will need to exercise considerable prudence as to whether it would be a good idea to bring your child(ren) to this film. This film is rated R for this very reason.

Important School Announcements!
One month to go until the Jog-a-Thon and we are off and running! (no pun intended J) Since we make most of our money from business sponsorships, now is the time that we need to most assistance with soliciting these sponsorships. All business sponsorships MUST be submitted by Friday, April 12th so that we can have enough time to include their names on our Jog-a-Thon t-shirts. Given our blockbuster success last year of $25,000, I have set an ambitious goal of $35,000 which I believe we can not only meet, but even exceed! Given our higher enrollment this year, coming primarily from St. Helena and Calistoga, there is a tremendous potential to attract business and individual sponsorships in a whole new market. In order to encourage students to solicit business sponsorships, we will be having raffles this Friday, April 5th, Monday, April 8th, and Friday, April 12th. The more sponsors you bring in, the more possibility for success in the raffle! Let’s make it happen!
Hot Lunch Help Needed!
We are looking for a parent or group of parents to prepare hot lunches on the following days:
Wednesday April 10th

We have a wonderful group of ladies who work very hard to prepare hot lunch, namely Natividad Zetina, Ana Montiel, and Maria Angulo. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty to prepare these lunches.
I’m hoping that somebody else besides them will step up to handle one of the dates above. Please contact Maria if you are willing and available. Thank you.
P.S. Thank you to Katie Duncan for agreeing to prepare hot lunch on Wednesday, May 1st!
